Depending on the materials, mix design, and resulting plastic properties some admixtures are much more beneficial to block and paver production than others and should be considered. Some can even be counter-productive even though the technical data sheet would tell you otherwise. That’s because these descriptions pertain to industry norms. Abnormally high or low cohesion (stickiness) can be effectively remedied through proper admixture selection and use.

While traditional product categories are still in use there is much crossover between them from an applications standpoint. More than ever, admixture suppliers should be relied upon to offer cost-effective solutions to production challenges. Gone are the days of using cement as a band-aid!
