Efflorescence Control Agent, Integral Water Repellent

Tech Shield Mortar Admixture is formulated to provide integral water repellency and enhanced efflorescence control for masonry mortar and similar cementitious materials. Used properly, this unique admixture chemically reacts with cement and its water repellent components form a permanent bond within the mortar. This ensures lasting resistance to wind-driven rain, moisture migration, and ‘wicking’. Tech Shield Mortar Admixture is an essential component of the Tech Shield Water Repellent Admixture System for concrete masonry construction.

Applications

Tech Shield Mortar Admixture significantly enhances the performance of Type N, Type S, and Type M masonry mortars. It performs equally well in masonry grout fill, stucco, and other cementitious applications. When used as part of the Tech Shield System, it protects exterior walls from water infiltration and moisture migration for the life of the structure.

Tech Shield Mortar Admixture is available in cases of 12-8oz bottles, pails, and drums. Case quantities are available from Tech Shield-Certified Block Producers.

HANDLING & STORAGE

Tech Shield Mortar Admixture must be stored at moderate temperatures. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sun/intense heat or freezing temperatures. Stored properly, Tech Shield Mortar Admixture has a minimum shelf life of 12 months. Avoid creating an aerosol or mist that could be inhaled.
